Frequently asked questions.

What should I wear or bring to my session?

I always recommend choosing 2–3 outfits that reflect different sides of you or your brand — for example, something casual and something more polished or formal. It’s a great idea to stick to your brand colours and personal style so the final images feel truly “you.”

If you're bringing props, think of items you use in your work (like a laptop, notebook, coffee mug, product samples, or flowers). These small details help tell your story visually.

✨ Not sure what to bring or wear? Don’t worry — we’ll talk about it together before the session. Sometimes your outfit will depend on the location and the feeling we want to create.

  • For shorter sessions, it's best to keep things simple and minimal.

  • For longer sessions, you're welcome to bring as many outfit options as you'd like — we’ll choose what works best on the day.

Where will the shoot take place?

Branding and portrait sessions can take place:

  • In-studio

  • On location (your workspace, a local café, outdoors, home office — anything that fits your story)

If we shoot in a rented studio, the studio hire fee may be added to the session price.
If we shoot on location, there’s no extra charge — unless it’s more than 50 miles outside Glasgow, in which case a travel fee will apply.

What if I hate being in front of the camera?

That’s more common than you think — and totally okay.
Many of my clients tell me they’re shy, awkward, or “not photogenic.” But that’s exactly why I do what I do the way I do it.

✨ I guide you through everything — where to stand, how to move, what to do with your hands, even how to breathe and relax into the moment.

My sessions are calm, friendly, and judgement-free. I create a safe space for you to simply be yourself. No pressure, no stiff poses. Just connection, light, and honesty.

If I pay for the photos, do I own them? Can I use them however I want?

You get full rights to use the images for your business — website, social media, ads, and more.

But under UK law, the copyright stays with the photographer.
That means you can’t sell, license, or give the photos to third parties.

You’re free to use them for your brand — just not for resale or stock use.

How can I use my images?

Your final photos are delivered with full rights for use in your own business marketing — including:

  • Your website

  • Social media

  • Digital ads

  • Brochures, posters, or presentations

Please don’t apply heavy filters or crop/edit the images without checking with me first. I spend time perfecting them for a clean, natural look that reflects your brand in the best way possible.

When will I receive my photos?

You’ll receive a preview (proof) gallery within a few days after the session.
This gallery lets you choose your favourite images from the shoot — no surprises, and you only get photos you truly love.

Once you’ve made your selections, I’ll carefully edit the final images and deliver them to you within 1–3 weeks, ready for use.

Do I get the raw files?

No — I don’t deliver RAW, unedited files.
You’ll receive high-quality JPEGs, fully edited and ready to post, formatted for both web and print. Everything is optimised and clean, so you don’t need to worry about file sizes or formats.

What if I need more photos later?

I don’t currently offer subscription plans or add-on sessions, but I do love working with returning clients. If you’ve already had a session with me and want to refresh your photos in the future, I’ll be happy to offer a custom quote and flexible options just for you.

What if I don’t like my photos?

I hear this fear a lot — especially from women:
“I’ve never liked how I look in pictures.”
“I’m not photogenic.”
“I have wrinkles, extra weight, a crooked smile...”
"I always look worse in photos than in the mirror."

And I understand — truly.

That’s why I make it part of my process to help you feel seen and supported. During the shoot, you’ll even have the chance to look at photos as we go, so you can feel confident and make adjustments if you’d like. Afterward, I’ll send you a proof gallery where you choose the photos you love most. I don’t just hand over a bunch of random shots — I give you control.

Once you select your favourites, I’ll gently edit and refine them to highlight your natural beauty — your best angles, lighting, and energy. I work with emotion and intention, not just the camera. You’ll get images that are clean, honest, and you at your best.
